* The Texas state auditor's office has revealed the state misused a portion of nearly $600 million in Federal anti-terrorism funds. One county bought a trailer to transport lawn mowers to "lawn mower drag races.''

A Scottish court fined bus driver Ayrton Senna $238 after he crashed into another bus, the result of a bungled overtaking maneuver. According to the BBC, "Sheriff David Pender accepted Senna's name did not reflect the speed he had been doing at the time of the accident.'' Formerly known as John Campbell, the driver changed his name to honor the late Brazilian Formula One world champion.
