Mar. 3--Thai shares yesterday tumbled 2.41 percent on investor worries over the country's deteriorating trade account, rising global oil prices and an interest rate hike by the central bank.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand yesterday closed at 720.92 points, down 17.83, on trade worth 29.2 billion baht.
Energy stocks were the big losers, falling 3.88 percent on the day, while banks lost 3.11 percent and communications fell 2.11 percent. Losers outpaced gainers 302 to 56, with 67 stocks closing unchanged.
