Mar. 3--Efforts to restructure Thailand's industrial base are to be accelerated, with the government encouraging less use of imported content in manufactured goods in a policy aimed at strengthening the trade balance.

Finance Minister Somkid Jatusripitak said strengthening the value content of locally produced goods was a key priority in light of slowing export growth.
