Mar. 3--C.P. Seven Eleven Plc plans to spend 3.8 billion baht on business expansion in 2005, a 90 percent increase over last year's investment budget.
The expansion agenda includes a plan to open 450 new 7-Eleven convenience stores nationwide, doubling the company's Book Smile outlets to 150, and the opening of five new Lotus discount stores in China.
Also planned are renovations for 300 existing stores by the end of the year, as well as 400 million baht in upgrades to the company's supply chain.
