Mar. 2--The TOT Corporation board will meet today to scrap the 565,500-line telephone expansion project bid earlier won by Siemens.

But the German technology giant will be among three foreign companies invited to submit new bids in an electronic auction, according to a board member.

The other two groups are Marubeni and Ericsson, two companies that had submitted earlier bids using Huawei of China as their equipment supplier.

The TOT source said that at the top of today's agenda will be the expansion project, with the board expected to scrap the bid won by Siemens and introduce an e-auction proposal to ...
