Mar. 2--The pricing for new shares in Thai Petrochemical Industry will be set at around three baht each, according to sources from the Finance Ministry.

PTT Plc, the Government Savings Bank and the Government Pension Fund are all planning to invest in TPI shares at that price, an official said.

The pricing comes at a premium compared to TPI's book value of 1.7 baht per share, but is well under the petrochemical giant's current share price.

Shares of TPI on the Stock Exchange of Thailand yesterday closed at 8.50 baht, up 15 satang, on trade worth 85.80 million baht.
