Mar. 2--The construction giant Ch.Karnchang (CK) yesterday announced plans to issue 137.5 million new shares, raising its registered capital to 1.45 billion baht.

The company said that 137.5 million new shares would be issued in a private placement, with another 3.5 million shares reserved for exercise by warrant holders. Directors on Monday also approved the issue of up to three billion baht in unsubordinated debentures, with the details to be set by the board later.

The company also announced that it would pay a 2004 dividend of 107.04 million baht, or 10 satang per share, on May 6, with the share register to receive the dividend closed on March 17.
