Mar. 1--SET-listed Thai Storage Battery Plc (BAT-3K), manufacturer of the 3K brand, expects to become the market leader in car batteries in 2005 with sales of 3.6 million units, according to director Veerawat Korphaibool
The company projects sales to grow by 7-10 percent from last year, enabling it to surpass GS Battery in market share. Last year, it was the second largest player in the market with a share of 30 percent while GS Battery controlled 34 percent.
Mr Veerawat said the company generated 2.4 billion baht in revenue last year, an increase of 32.8 percent from the year before while its net profit climbed 57.8 ...
