A Bug's Life
Regarding "Taking The Fifth" (Editorial, Friday): I've read a copy of the U.S. Constitution sent to me by my representative in Congress. I can find nowhere that fish, insects or animals have rights that trump those the Constitution guarantees and protects.
And I've checked the preamble and all the current amendments. There is not one word that either directly mentions or implies insects, animals or filet-o-fish have rights to anything, period. Therefore, why can the Sierra Club court-shop for a sympathetic judge who supports an insect's "rights" over those of a citizen-person?

Will It Take A Revolution?
Congratulations on the very revealing "Insufficient Funds" (Editorial, Monday), which highlighted just another substantial argument for better control of our borders.
The only problem is that your excellent work on such an important issue was buried on A18. This should have been on the front page and a copy sent to all of our so-called government representatives. Must we force a rebellion to get the message across to our elected officials as to what they should be doing to protect law-abiding citizens?
