Deal will tap sales from gas field in Oman.

Mar. 1--PTT Exploration and Production Plc yesterday signed an agreement with the Omani government to sell gas produced from Block 44 of the Shames gas field, located in the Middle Eastern country.
The agreement was signed at Government House by PTTEP president Maroot Mrigadat and Mohammed Hamed Saif Al-Rumhy, Oman's minister of oil and gas.
Under the agreement, PTT Middle East Co, owned 100 percent by PTTEP, will sell natural gas to Oman at a volume of 50 million cubic feet per day (mcfpd), starting in the fourth quarter of this year.
