Mar. 1--Oishi Group Plc, the bottler of Oishi green tea and operator of a chain of Japanese restaurants, reported 2,370 percent growth in green tea-driven net profit, at 487.20 million baht last year, up from just 19.70 million baht in 2003.
The company announced yesterday that it would pay shareholders a dividend of one baht per share.
Tan Passakornnatee, the company's president and chief executive, said he was putting the finishing touches on a new longan-based beverage that is expected to hit the market within the next three months.
The new drink would not be sold under the Oishi brand, he said.
