The Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce soon will charge commissions for certain services to help return the International Trade Resource Center to financial stability.
Under the plan, any company that receives help financing an international business deal will be required to pay a commission to the chamber.
The move has required the Trade Resource Center to drop its non-profit status. Previously, the center offered its financing services to potential exporters at no charge.
Since the chamber took over the Trade Resource Center last year, it also has disbanded the organization's board of directors.
