According to the Wednesday, January 12 Jackson Citizen Patriot of Michigan, a party store owner laid in wait for a burglar and caught him in the act.

Griff's Party Store in Horton had been robbed the previous week on the night of a snowstorm, and so when the forecast for the night of Tuesday, January 11 predicted freezing rain, owner Doug Harrington suspected that he'd get robbed again. After he closed the store that night, he sat with a 12-gauge shotgun, waiting for the thief to strike.

At 12:30 a.m. his wait ended ...
