Readers praise Jaguar's performance and safety enhancements in the Advanced Lightweight Coupe, but the concept's styling direction has them shaking their heads.
The concept's use of weight-reducing materials and increased rigidity is spot-on, but the aesthetics are generic sports car cues that stir no passion. Great Jags engender heaps of passion sitting still, but not this design.

The ALC's light weight and stiff construction is laudable with the performance and safety enhancements. The styling is too similar to recent cars, though the tail section is pleasing. But the Ford Taurus staring at me from the front struck me the most
