Keep an eye on that guy with the Hummer H1 in your neighborhood, because he's about to get sand kicked in his face.
At the Chicago auto show, the upper limit on big trucks punched into the stratosphere with the truly outlandish International RXT-a 22-foot-long behemoth. RXT, a 4x2 pickup built on a diesel-powered commercial truck chassis, sports an eight-foot bed, seating for five, and bragging rights that only a five-ton truck can deliver. International will start taking orders for the $70,000 RXT this fall.
On a more down-to-earth level, at least by comparison to RXT, is the Dodge Ram Mega Cab. Based on the 248-inch Ram 2500 Quad Cab long-box, the Mega Cab features the Ram 2500's six-foot three-inch bed rather than the eight-foot version (just in case you have a 250-inch garage, ...
