Artistic talent and excellence are two of the qualities that help an exhibitor stand out at Barrett-Jackson's crowded vendor area. Steve Posson's rendering of the 1965 Le Mans-winning Ferrari 250 LM has both sterling traits. The streaks of grime sweeping along the flanks, and the way Jochen Rindt (or is it Masten Gregory?) is leaning into the corner impart a feeling of motion to this sculpture.
Posson was trained as an auto designer at the Auto Center College in Pasadena, California. He had a hand in designing the landmark Vetter motorcycle fairing and did stints with Volvo, Volkswagen and Jeep before attending an art show and gazing upon his first bronze of an automobile.
