The Trans-Am series heads into its 40th season (now minus the Motorock moniker) with a tentative 10-race schedule. Opening at the Long Beach Grand Prix on April 10, Trans-Am then follows Champ Car through much of its North American calendar, including new dates in Edmonton, Alberta, and San Jose, California.
Three of the 10 races have not been announced, Road America is likely, while Montreal, Road Atlanta, Puerto Rico and Mid-Ohio are possible venues, with Laguna Seca a long shot. A Montreal race would be included in the Champ Car weekend, while the rest (excluding Puerto Rico) would be combined with the American Le Mans Series dates at those tracks. All events will be televised in a one-hour, tape-delayed format on Speed.
