Mourning a Disaster

Readers, like so many others, were stunned by the sudden ferocity and destruction of the tsunami. Many praised our Jan. 10 cover in particular: "It's a most meaningful image; it depicted hope," wrote one. Another singled out our two-page graphic as "the finest I've ever seen in NEWSWEEK."
