WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Merchandising and store design may be more glamarous, but no retail discipline is as vital to the operational efficiency and financial health of an organization as inventory management.

It is something successful retailers and suppliers have long known and focused on independently within their own companies. Now, a newly created certification program developed by Accenture and the Retail Industry Leaders Association, promises to elevate the training of supply chain professionals.
