Feb. 7--The Revenue Department plans to invest 100 million baht to upgrade its computer networks to give officials greater mobility in working outside of their offices.
Sirot Sawadpanish, the department's director-general, said that the upgrades would allow workers to communicate with the agency's networks and work on the road or even at home. "We're changing the internal culture and moving away from working at one's desk in the office to being able to work anywhere, even at home," he said.
