Feb. 5--The auto parts maker CPR Gomu Industrial (CPR) has set up a joint venture with South Korea-based Yulchon Co, an automotive pipe maker, to produce metal pipe products for the country's expanding auto industry and metal tubes for industrial works.
Under the agreement signed yesterday, CPR holds a 51 percent stake in Yulchon Pipe (Thailand) and the remaining shares are held by Yulchon.
CPR will provide the initial registered capital of 40 million baht for the new venture while Yulchon will provide machinery, technical expertise and marketing support.
