Feb. 2--San Jose Unified School District officials are considering a plan to consolidate Randol and Allen elementary schools and place the combined student body on the campus of Steinbeck Middle School by the fall of 2005.
"It's feasible, and it's seriously being considered," said Superintendent Don Iglesias, who met with staff and parents at both Randol and Allen to discuss the idea Tuesday. "I'm confident that we can adapt Steinbeck for K-5 use, and a lot of issues seem to be aligning in a good way."
