Feb. 4--Fund managers are cautiously optimistic about growth prospects for the economy and capital market, with local investor interest in long-term investment options expected to remain strong through the year.
Maris Tarab, the managing director at ING Funds (Thailand), said global growth was expected to moderate this year.
But in the absence of new shocks, growth in the industrialised countries is expected to stabilise, with the United States and Asia outpacing the economies of Europe and Japan.
Mr Maris said foreign buying in the Thai market was also expected to remain steady.
