Feb. 3--Mason County school officials said Wednesday they had no idea how a woman got into Point Pleasant High School and handed out plastic cards good for a 30-day dose of a prescription drug.
The card was for free supplies of Adderall, a drug used to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder.
One student's mother found the card in her daughter's room earlier this week. She said the thought of a pharmaceutical representative handing out the coupons bothers her, but the fact that school officials don't know about it bothers her more.
"I don't think my daughter thought of it any more than a Pizza Hut coupon," said the woman, who asked to remain anonymous. "But it sure bothered me."
