Feb. 3--The Bank of Thailand denies that it was holding back approvals for loan applications submitted by Bank of Ayudhya and Siam City Bank for tsunami aid.
Yoottaphol Singhaumpai, director of the central bank's communications and relations office, said one billion baht in soft loans were approved by authorities yesterday, raising the total to date to 27 billion baht.
