Royal Caribbean Q4 loss widens
The world's No. 2 cruise company lost 13 cents a share, 10 cents more than views had expected and 30% more than it lost in the year-ago period. Revenue rose 9.9% to $964.6 mil, but Royal Caribbean Cruises said higher fuel and tax costs cut into the bottom line. The cruise line's optimistic about '05 bookings. Shares slid 7% to 49.35.

Building products boost USG Q4
The supply firm earned $1.97 a share, 25 cents over views and 84% over the year-ago period. USG's sales rose 26.2% to $1.17 bil. It warned that a decline in housing starts could hit '05 sales, and it expects material and staff costs to remain high. Shares rose 2% to 32.70.
