Feb. 2--The Accor group has won a contract from Airports of Thailand Plc to manage a four-star hotel at the new Bangkok airport, under the name Novotel Suvarnabhumi.
The hotel is scheduled to open at the same time as the new airport in September.
Bancha Pattanaporn, acting president of AoT, yesterday signed an agreement to engage Universal Hospitality, under the umbrella of France-based Accor, to manage the hotel under a 20-year concession.
Under the agreement, Accor will provide AOT with an annual return of 80 million baht, or 1.6 billion baht, paid in four installments over the life of the concession.
