ABOUT two out of five business executives believe that the country's economy will grow at a lower rate this year than in 2004, according to a poll conducted by the Makati Business Club.
The biannual Executive Outlook Survey is conducted every January and July, with the latest having 70 respondents or about 9.5 percent of MBC's membership.
Asked between Jan. 6 and Jan. 28, 38.5 percent of the respondents said the economy would slow down this year despite the strong economic growth of 6.1 percent in 2004.
The growth rate of the amount of all products made and services rendered within the country in 2003 was pegged at 4.7 percent.
