Feb. 1--The ailing property developer Natural Park Plc said yesterday that it would sell a 10 percent shareholding in subway operator Bangkok Metro Co (BMCL) to the construction giant Ch. Karnchang for 1.1 billion baht.
N-Park chief executive Sermsin Samalapa, in a statement to the Stock Exchange of Thailand, said the company would sell up to 725 million BMCL shares at 1.52 baht each to Ch. Karnchang (CK) and its affiliates, currently BMCL's largest shareholder at 52 percent.
The total value of the deal is estimated at 1.1 billion baht. After the sale, N-Park's holdings in BMCL will fall to around 14.71 percent from 24.71 percent.
