KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 1, Asia Pulse - Iranian Charge d`Affaires to Malaysia Ahmad Masoumifar said here Sunday night that the volume of economic and trade exchanges between Tehran and Kuala Lumpur surpassed US$600 million in 2004.
Speaking at a special ceremony marking the 26th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Masoumifar further said that the figure shows an unprecedented 45 per cent increase in trade exchanges between the two countries.
He noted that Iranian exports to Malaysia reached US$280 million in 2004 as against US$101 million in 2003, indicating a 280 per cent boost.
