SEOUL, Feb 1 Asia Pulse - South Korean stocks started lower Tuesday on a program selling. Tech shares led the declines.
In the first 15 minutes of trading, the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) fell 4.81 points, or 0.51 per cent, to 927.89. The tech-rich KOSDAQ index was up 3.21 points, or 0.67 per cent, to 476.16.
Market leader Samsung Electronics was down 0.61 per cent to 492,000 won, and Hynix Semiconductor fell 1.15 per cent to 12,850 won.
