MELBOURNE, Feb 1 Asia Pulse - Fears over job security, outsourcing and privatisation will set the scene for the upcoming round of Telstra (ASX:TLS) workplace agreement negotiations, a union said today.
The Communications, Electrical and Plumbing Union's Victorian secretary Len Cooper said a number of meetings were being held over the next month at Telstra work sites throughout Australia.
"The objective would be to see what the key areas (of concern) are for members," Mr Cooper said.
He said the meetings would prepare members for a national industrial campaign, if needed, and would discuss tactics going into the fresh round of enterprise bargaining agreement (EBA) negotiations.
Mr Cooper said while pay increases would be at the forefront of members' demands, there would be a number of other issues setting the framework for negotiations.
