10 Manatee lifters headed to state.(SPORTS)

LAKEWOOD RANCH -- After Saturday's Section 7 girls weightlifting meet, a pleasantly surprised Dennis Stallard told his Manatee High girls, "We go to work on Monday."
With their performances Saturday at Lakewood Ranch High School, 10 Manatee lifters qualified for the Florida High School Athletic Association's state meet Feb. 12 at DeLand High School. The host Lady Mustangs will send nine lifters to DeLand, Southeast will have three representatives and Shelby King will be Palmetto's lone qualifier.
