GAINESVILLE -- South Carolina coach Dave Odom called it a tale of two halves.

It was more like night and Day but, fortunately for Florida, the Gators found a way to cool off freshman Dwayne Day and hang on and walk out of the O'Connell Center Saturday with a crucial 80-72 win.

"This is a very important game," said David Lee, who scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double on the season. "It was a home game and we really need to protect our home court if we hope to win an SEC title this year."

The victory gives Florida a 13-4 record overall and a 5-1 mark in the Southeastern …
