Mumbai, Jan 25 (PTI) The Marathi film 'Shwaas', directed by Sandeep Sawant, and India's entry into the Oscars, Tuesday failed to be nominated for the prestigious award.

Reacting to the film dropping out of the Oscar race, Sawant said "after all it is a competition and once you participate in it you must be ready to both win and lose".

"But I am happy and proud of the fact that a small regional film, made in Marathi, was able to compete at the national and international level, which I consider to be a major achievement", he told PTI here. On whether he felt disillusioned or dejected because the film had failed to be …
