Jan. 27--A small spacecraft will peer at the boundaries of the solar system before the end of the decade, using a pair of orbiting cameras to watch as high-energy particles shed by the sun collide with the galactic wind, NASA announced Wednesday.

The space agency also announced that Chicago's Adler Planetarium will be the key education and public outreach partner for the unmanned Interstellar Boundary Explorer--dubbed IBEX--a $134 million mission.
