Woods rallies past Lehman to capture Buick Invitational.

LA JOLLA, California: Tiger Woods rallied with a four-under par 68 in Sunday's final round to capture the US$4.5 million PGA Buick Invitational.

It was Woods' first victory of the season and first stroke-play triumph in over a year.

The 29-year-old American beat runner-ups Tom Lehman, Charles Howell and Britain's Luke Donald by three strokes in winning his third career Buick Invitational title.

Woods overtook Lehman on the 17th hole to pick up 810,000 dollars in first-place prize money.

"That was a great win," Woods said. "It was a tough battle but I hung in there the best I could.
