FORMER Governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lam Adesina, has challenged leaders of the Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, to test their popularity by presenting themselves for elective offices rather than seeking to control elected officers through the back door, saying the group no longer has a place in politics.

Adesina, who spoke to reporters at his Felele home in Ibadan on the occasion of his 66th birthday, said the present crop of Afenifere leaders gave him and his colleagues, who were governors in the South West geo-political zone "a hell of a time" with their criticisms.
