The 2005 DQ Grill and Chill Home Run Derby will be held Saturday at Sarasota's Ed Smith Stadium.

This year's contest will feature a home run derby for players ages 11-12 at the Cal Ripken Complex on 12th Street at 8 a.m., followed by the high school competition at 11:30 a.m. at the stadium. A celebrity competition featuring current and former professionals will wrap up the day's festivities.

Booker's Isven Chavez and Bruce Lyons, Cardinal Mooney's Rob Walker and Matt Hughes, Riverview's Ryan Maxa and Jason Benhurt and Sarasota's Mark Sobolewski and Dale Slimick will represent their respective schools. Student-athletes from …
