Thanks to John Puccio for recognizing the greatness of Arthur Rubinstein. The date of death is wrong. He died in 1982. Anyone interested in learning more about him should read his two books of autobiography and the well researched book on Rubinstein by Harvey Sachs. I see that some Rubinstein recordings are now available on SACD discs, which are also playable on regular CD players. The price was under $13 at Virgin records in Boston.
