The Academy of Medical Transcription has opened at 353 W. Dearborn St. in Englewood.

The academy offers an intense 20-week course covering all aspects of medical transcription. The course consists of weekly two-hour lectures covering pharmaceuticals, SOAP notes, medical terminology and terminology of anatomy and physiology with practice dictation in all major medical fields, including cardiology, oncology and radiology.
