Injured Buck leaves team to stay with family.

NEW YORK _ After having his season officially shut down by the Milwaukee Bucks and his doctors, injured point guard T.J. Ford has left the team to return to Texas to spend time with his family.

The decision for Ford, who has been sidelined all season with a neck injury, to get away was a mutual one by Ford and team officials after Ford had spent four difficult months with the team dealing with the uncertainty that surrounded his future.

"We're not going to force him at this stage to come back and be a part of things every day," said coach Terry Porter, whose team takes on the New York Knicks Sunday afternoon at Madison Square …
