eOn Communications to Acquire Aelix Systems, Inc.(Brief Article)
eOn Communications Corporation announces its intention to acquire Aelix Systems Inc., an IP telecommunications developer headquartered in Morgan Hill, CA (Silicon Valley). Through the acquisition, the companies will incorporate Aelix's expertise in IP technology into eOn's product development plans for the Voice over IP (VoIP) market. Further, eOn will expand its market reach to India, where the Aelix design and technical support team is located. Aelix employees located in India and the United States will become employees of a newly-formed eOn subsidiary.
The acquisition is expected to be finalized within the first quarter of 2005.
