Jan. 19--The Columbus Health Department has received an additional shipment of flu vaccine and now will be accepting walk-in business.
Dr. Zsolt Koppanyi, the director of the West Central Health District, said that reports from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show an increase in flu activity. "It is not too late to receive a vaccine," he said.
But people desiring the shot must still fit into the high-risk category.
That includes adults 50 and older, children 6-23 months, health care workers involved in direct patient care, out-of-home caregivers, people 2-64 with a chronic medical condition, pregnant…
