Respondents agree the new Ford Mustang's firm chassis, strong powertrain and fresh design should make the convertible model as successful as the coupe.

No other car has as much to offer for the price as the new Mustang. The ragtop looks great and will sell well. The Mustang will kick the competition right out of the stable and will only get better with time.

The new Mustang convertible looks great, but I wish it had a built-in boot like many BMWs. I love my 2003 Cobra, but I'll be in line to get the new Cobra convertible when it comes out. It should be the best buy for the buck.

Glenn Broom, Bartow, Fla.

The convertible looks much better than the coupe, and I like how its top appears to serve as its own tonneau cover. The improved powertrain and extra room are also welcome additions, but I think Ford should have sprung for an IRS.
