1. Green Day Leaping 13-1 to reclaim pole position on the album chart 14 weeks after ii debuted there, Green Day's American Idiot does so even though its sales are down 58.7% week-on-week. The album's resilience is no small part down to the success of second single Boulevard Of Broken Dreams. which is still building its radio airplay profile and which got as high as number two on the TV airplay chart for the crucial Christmas week. Overall sales of 746,354 make American Idiot the most successful Green Day album yet.
