Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Minister of Finance Benjamin Netanyahu met today with Bank of Israel Governor candidate Prof. Stanley Fischer.

"Stanley Fischer can help not only with correct management of monetary policy at the Bank of Israel. His arrival and service at the Bank of Israel tells people, 'Come to Israel, and invest in Israel. I came; do you likewise,'" Netanyahu said today in the first working meeting between Sharon, Fischer, and himself.

Netanyahu predicted that Fischer would help Israel in the global financial market. He said that Fischer's main target would be growth. "The …
