Residents object - Concern about design of aged care facility.

THE Aranda Residents Group has objected to a proposed $4 million development of 18 aged care self-care units which the group believes would have a negative impact on the suburb.

The development is proposed for two blocks off Bindel Street.

The buildings on the blocks include St Vincent de Paul's Primary School on one block and St Vincent's Church and Presbytery on the second block.

Leases for the sites are held by the trustees of the Roman Catholic Church for the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn.The group says proposed fences and buildings are too close to pedestrian and bicycle paths and properties.
