New Delhi, Jan 14 (PTI) Indian tennis star Leander Paes' chances of competing in the Australian Open received a boost after tests revealed he had neither a fracture nor a ligament tear in the injured left ankle.

"The X-ray has shown that there is no fracture. And the MRI scan also has said there is no torn ligament," the multiple grand slam champion's father, Dr Vece Paes, told PTI over phone on Friday.
