A U.S. bankruptcy court in Seattle last week turned its attention to setting a course for the shipwrecked SkyPix Corp. following its decision to take the helm from previous management.
A source close to the proceeding told SATELLITE NEWS that investigators last week were being appointed who will establish a reorganization plan for the company. The plan is expected to be finalized early in January.

The appointment of investigators follows the court's decision to become trustee of SkyPix Corp. and SkyPix Joint Venture L.P. Under the ruling, A. Frederick Greenberg and Richard Greenberg will need court permission to pay any sum more than $1,000 or receive any investment proceeds for SkyPix. The Greenbergs also will need court permission to borrow any SkyPix funds or enter any contract that would extend beyond the hearing of the reorganization plan.
In the ruling, Judge Thomas Glover ordered an examiner be appointed to oversee the firm's management and that interested parties be given the opportunity to file reorganization plans. SkyPix must provide the examiner with a weekly report detailing any cash receipts or disbursements.
